#Abstract
The aim of this study is to understand how social inclusion of family farmers occurs through the actions developed by the Family Agriculture Strengthening Program at Baixada Fluminense, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The methodology used was based on analyzes of visual records (photography) and documents produced by the activities of this program. It was verified that the social inclusion of the agricultural families is a consequence of the technical assistance and rural extension actions, as they generate educational processes for the organic production and agroecology, promote productive monitoring of the properties, as well as the operation of the short commercialization circuits. These actions are integrated and permanently evaluated by a body of multi and transdisciplinary agents.
