#Abstract
In Brazil, non-timber forest products (NTFP) such as bark, leaves, fruits, roots, seeds, resins, gums, latex, firewood, scenic beauty and others support the livelihood and economy of rural and riverside communities, besides part of the small municipalities and companies of different sectors and sizes. This work aimed to characterize the Public Politics of the Federal scope, which are intended to implement projects for the production of NWFP. Aspects such as scope, priority regions, target audiences, funding value ranges, lack rules, perspective of the duration of the initiative and the technological levels were analyzed in according its requirement. Nineteen Politics or Programs, main, initiated by three Ministries, fully or partially contemplate NTFP, nine overlap in support of sustainable forest management and agroforestry systems. And between the lines of credit, only PRONAF Eco contemplates the production chains of palm and syringe, and FCO Nature Conservation contemplates on the production of syringe, yerba mate, pequi, brazil nuts, mangaba, cupuaçu, araticum, açaí and other native species. The BNDES credit lines are those that finance the highest values in the millions, consequently the beneficiaries are big producers, companies and multinationals, probably with investments in agribusiness. In general, there is credit available for many productive activities to implement sustainable forest management and agroforestry systems. Productive chains such as açaí production, Brazil nuts and yerba mate are on the rise and have specific public credit politics.
