India e "metafísica hindu" no pensamento poético de António Barahona
Patrícia Calvário
Documento (.pdf)
AbstractFor Antonio Barahona, the present age shows the state of degradation of humanity. In these times of decay, which in the cosmology of “hinduism” are called Kali-yuga, the poet has the mission and duty to point and to make the divine present, with a function resembling that of the hierophant. In this article we will gather elements related to “hindu” metaphysics, which are dispersed in Barahona's poetic and transcreation work, and which the poet uses, in our view, to read the contemporary world. Thus, the poet sees in the rupture of man with the divine, the cause of the progressive degradation of humanity, which is evidente in all its dimensions, from the loss of ontological thickness of language, that is, the loss of its theurgical power, to the degradation of the religious rites themselves.
