#Abstract
In this article, we start from two concepts of grammar: as implicit knowledge of how the language works and as model that explains that knowledge and that is refl ected on the objectives of grammar teaching. Metalinguistic activity is considered central both for the construction of grammatical concepts that imply a high degree of abstraction and for the application of this knowledge to the improvement of uses. We argue in favour of the need for two closely interrelated programming lines.
