#Abstract
I had been teaching the language of Cervantes converted in to business Spanish to future salespersons keen on good deals for only a few weeks, when my colleague of German, twenty years older than said: “ We have to prepare the Bulats.” Young and unaware, I answered: “What is it?” “A German cake?” Amused, he kindly informed me, not of a recipe for Bulats, but of the existence of this official examination in compliance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). We were in 2009. Was this discovery about to change my way of teaching? What impact would it have on the content of my classes and on evaluation. That is what I invite you to discover in this article.
