#Abstract
When someone asks me what do I do, I often answer most simply that I do things. In fact, either in the studio or elsewhere, I do things, even when I just let then happen. But what does it mean that I can define my practice that way? How can I explain that even when I am not working I am somehow doing things, and that even before things start to exist they are already there? How to explain that it is often not me speaking, but that things speak through me, the talking puppet of a theater manipulated by those same things I had just activated? There is not a single way to address these questions and to say I do things is perhaps the only way I could think of to define a practice that lacks a name and a clear purpose. On this text I will try to discuss these problems from the point of view of artistic practice, my own practice
