#Abstract
The text addresses the issue of human enhancement and its uniqueness. It begins by considering the difficulty in accurately fixing the meaning of the term, imprecision which in large part explains the numerous controversies around this subject that exist today. Secondly, it addresses some of the main reasons for the various and incompatible ethical judgments on «human enhancement» project. Finally, the comparison between the criteria of excellence with which technical objects and even living organisms are usually judged leads us to consider that human enhancement should be seen as a limit of making.
