#Abstract
This article’s main purpose is to analyse the representations of the Siege of Porto, which occured between 1832 and 1833, using the source Gazeta de Lisboa. Therefore, in this study, the main goal resides in the evaluation of the newspaper’s position regarding the two opposite fronts (royalist and liberal), as well as analyse the military confrontations, the forms of medical care and help for the wounded soldiers and also the pain and suffering endured by the population in the sieged city.
