#Abstract
The administrative documentation of various Valencian institutions, especially hospital ones, is of great help to analyze the literacy levels of the medieval autumn society. Through the delivery notes, we intend to show the various strategies followed by the illiterate to overcome the obstacle of literary ignorance, to analyze the different graphic skills possessed by the literate and to see who writes in an environment dominated by bureaucracy and why.
