#Abstract
This article, theoretical in nature, is a test in which they make known the concepts and language of scientific construction of social network analysis and their contributions to the debate on the sociology of social networks. This reflection seeks to initiate a discussion of the assumptions about the context that may contribute to the development of a specialized sociology where reigns the analysis of social networks as a way of understanding social reality. The approach of social networks, the look of the networks as "new" a paradigm in social sciences and humanities and some hints for application, are other approaches that make up this theoretical reflection.
