#Abstract
Évora has been granted since ancient times with water availability associated with a relatively high groundwater level caused by a set of factors constant over time. Starting from cartography and historical iconography from the city and region of Évora, it was intended to identify some of the water resources represented, their location, importance to the city as well as respective uses. With the valuable cartographic and iconographic estate selected, it was possible to cross-reference information that would allow a reinterpretation of the availability of the water resources of the region, with special focus to the city.
