#Abstract
I analyze a social network composed by artists, anthropologists and historians who were involved in different ways in the organization of the exhibition “Arte Plumária do Brasil”, that, after its launch in 1980 at the Modern Art Museum of Sao Paulo, was presented in other institutions of arte and ethnology in some cities in Brazil and overseas until 1989. From this tangled mesh made of trajectories of things, persons and ideas, I aim to follow some lines that can lead to a reflection about the process of ‘artification’ of the feather adornments made by some native ethnical groups of Brazil.
