#Abstract
This paper will try to analyse the stereotypes that were created about the barbarians at the time of their entrance in the Iberian Peninsula in the fifth century. The sources are two texts of the fifth century chronistical literature. The aim is to understand by the tracks and suggestions these authors leave, the way the difference was perceived then.
