#Abstract
Using various historical sources and historiographical texts, this paper aims to study a little more the life of Prince Fernando, popularly known as "Holy Infant". Analyzing what was the Military Campaign which led to the captivity of the Prince, the information contained in the biographical work of Fr. João Álvares, the impact that this witness had in Portugal and other European kingdoms, we tried to understand the process of building an image of Fernando’s holiness.
