#Abstract
Through the study of the General Inquiries of the Kingdom conducted in the reign of Afonso III (1248-79), between 1257-58, and whose objective was to register, as a priority, the royal patrimony, we intend to identify the road network in Entre-Cávado-e-Minho in the middle of the XIII century. To this end, it will be sought to analyze the implementation of the routes in the territory, as well as their impact on the organization of a vital space, at least initially, for the maintenance of the Kingdom as a sovereign political identity versus external powers, and of the Crown against the portuguese clergy and nobility.
